Mapledene Primary School
At Mapledene we understand how vital it is that schools work in close partnership with parents and the wider community. We believe that achievement and enjoyment go hand in hand and therefore will ensure that our curriculum is engaging and allows each and every child to progress to their full potential. We hope that you will support our expectations of high standards of behaviour, achievement and attendance.
Our Mission: "working together, sharing together, celebrating together and succeeding together "
Our values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens.
We have 13 Values at the school which were chosen by our school community - including pupils, parents and governors:
Happiness Safe Friendship Empathy Caring Responsibility
Perseverance Co-operation Honesty Respect Confidence
Democracy and Tolerance
These values are fundamental to our school ethos and are embedded in all our teaching and learning. This year we will be going for the Rights Respecting School Award: working with children on the 'Rights of the Child' and helping them to continue to grow into independent mature learners/citizens.
