Bartley Green School has been rated Outstanding by Ofsted since 2005, with our most recent inspection in November 2013. Teachers, support staff and adults associated with the school have one aim – to ensure the best outcomes for every child.
Bartley Green is a forward thinking traditional school, we are always looking at new innovations and practices and combine these with our traditional values; traditions such as respect towards each other, working hard, spending quality time on homework, attending every day and on time. Everyone, all abilities are capable of meeting the expectations in these areas. It’s because of these high expectations, together with exceptional high quality of teaching that at the end of 5 years with us, pupils leave with the best possible outcomes and have in front of them choices for their futures.
We are passionate that our school should be the best it can be and proud that our children achieve brilliant results at the end of their career with us. Yes of course exam results matter but we strive also to ensure that a Bartley Green pupil has a rounded experience at school which contributes towards the adults they become.
Visitors to the school comment on the climate for learning, the ethos and the culture among the pupils and their positive relationships with each other and our staff. A lot goes on in and out of school; on any given day there may well be educational visits, workshops, enrichment activities, study skill lessons, mentoring sessions and adults from the community working with our pupils.
