Our school is situated in the heart of inner city Portsmouth.Everything we do at Cottage Grove is inspired by our passion to see all of our 467 pupils succeed. We pride ourselves on the relationships we build with our pupils’ parents.We therefore, encourage parents to come into school to talk to the staff or head about any aspect of their child’s development. The partnership between home and school is vital if our children are to benefit fully from their primary years.

school history

We have two main buildings where are main classrooms are found. These are linked together by a creatively designed playground featuring an adventure playground, a floodlit 3G caged football pitch, outdoor learning environments and plenty of seating and play areas.

As well as these two buildings, we also have ‘The Lodge’ which is our pastoral support building. The lodge has a more homely feel with a kitchen area and two comfortable spaces for our Pastoral Support Team to work with pupils in groups or 1:1 if needed.

Our Classrooms feature the latest technology to aid learning, including large interactive whiteboards. Pupils also have access to Laptops and Ipads which are regularly used to conduct research, access online learning tools or during specially tailored IT lessons.
