Oak Lodge School provides a safe, enjoyable and caring learning environment for students to learn skills for life and prepare them well for adulthood.

We view each child as a true ‘individual’ and as a person with their own strengths; interests and areas that they need to personally develop. Staff and governors work hard to foster a positive community atmosphere at school where an ethos of mutual respect is embedded throughout.

All students have access to the National Curriculum and are divided into year groups and sub-divided into smaller tutor groups. Students enjoy a variety of performance opportunities and benefit from excellent links with our diverse community beyond the school setting. Our students tell us that they like the calm atmosphere and appreciate having their own views listened to by staff.

We are very proud of our reputation as a warm, welcoming, school. Staff and governors invite close partnership working with parents, carers and multi-agency practitioners. We recognise that parents play an important role in the education of their children and as such, we welcome their support and co-operation in making their  child’s time at Oak Lodge School enjoyable.
